Video-Ingredient innovation to tackle obesity and overweight [Video interview]

A French startup focused on finding solutions to obesity and overweight has been recognised for creating a modified linoleic acid that acts as a human fat taste receptor’s agonist.

EktaH won the prize for Most Innovative Finished Nutraceutical Ingredient at the inaugural Vitafoods Europe Startup Innovation Challenge. Its winning ingredient can naturally induce anorectic peptides, resulting in early satiety and weight loss.

We caught up with CEO Xavier Boidevezi after he accepted the award at a ceremony hosted live at the event in Geneva last month.
