Researchers are learning more about the endogenous endocannabinoid system (ECS) and how it connects with myriad parts of the body. At the same time, hemp and cannabinoids have been studied for their ability to positively impact the ECS and related functionalities. However, there have been concerns around characterization of materials, application of research to real life, and regulatory compliance considerations, particularly linked to the status of cannabidiol (CBD).
