Dan Souza is the VP of Sales and Marketing for NATUREX-DBS. Thriving in this dynamic environment for over a decade Mr. Souza's responsibilities have included clinical trial development, technical product sales and marketing, health claim registration, finished goods and raw materials production, and strategic long-range product development.
Mr. Souza spearheaded a product development strategy that transitioned commodity based ingredients to scientifically substantiated branded ingredients with government sanctioned health claims. He helped achieve the first ever health claim for a cranberry ingredient from the Korean FDA. He has also developed the first cranberry ingredient clinically shown to improve men’s LUTS which was subsequently awarded six health claims from Health Canada and one from INVIMA in Colombia. Mr. Souza has co-designed and coauthored peer-reviewed, published clinical studies.
Mr. Souza received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in spring 1997, Cum Laude.
