Leveraging AI to provide personalised neuro-nutrient recommendations [Video interview]

A Swiss startup has won an award for its technology that uses AI to analyse mental health symptoms, combined with neuro-biomarkers from dried urine samples, to provide personalised neuro-nutrient recommendations.

HEALTHY-LONGER, which won the prize for Most Innovative Digital Solution Supporting the Nutraceutical Industry at the inaugural Vitafoods Europe Startup Innovation Challenge, says its technology can be employed to help repair neuro-metabolic pathways in the brain and nervous system.

We caught up with the co-founders, CEO Joanna Ledunger and director Roland Pfeuti, after they accepted their award at a ceremony hosted live at the event in Geneva earlier this year.

Joanna Ledunger, founder and CEO, HEALTHY-LONGER

Joanna Ledunger holds an MBA from Warwick Business School, a CoA in genetics and genomics from Stanford School of Medicine, and is about to certify as a nutritional-psychological counsellor. Ledunger has worked in senior positions in risk management and digitalisation within the EU, followed by leadership positions in the insurance industry (SwissRe), focusing on risks and analytics. She has a long track record in the successful development of new products and services, as well as establishing and leading companies, organisations, and teams.

Roland Pfeuti, co-founder and director, HEALTHY-LONGER

Roland Pfeuti was Chief Investment Officer and Member of the Executive Management of responsAbility Investments AG. Prior to that, Roland was a partner and senior manager in various private equity and venture capital businesses in Switzerland, Australia, and Hong Kong. Between 1992 and 2002, Roland was an investment banker at Credit Suisse and Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and London. Roland is an advisor to the Startup Academy Basel.
