Nutritional solution for children’s height launches in Asia – podcast

Audio-Nutritional solution for children’s height launches in Asia – podcast

With the launch of the Healthy Height protein shake to APAC, its CEO reflects on the company’s journey, formulation and quality considerations, and research grounding.

Quality nutrition is critical to supporting healthy weight and height in children. In fact, a new global analysis published in The Lancet (DOI: 10.1016/S0140-6736(20)31859-6) showed tremendous variation in the height and weight of school aged children around the globe, which could be attributed in large part to a lack of adequate and healthy nutrition during school years. In a statement, the lead author, Dr Andrea Rodriguez Martinez of Imperial College London, stated: “Our findings should motivate policies that increase the availability and reduce the cost of nutritious foods, as this will help children grow taller without gaining excessive weight for their height.”

In fact, this mission of providing quality nutrition to children to support their growth has driven Nutritional Growth Solutions Ltd. (ngsolutions.co) since its founding. Two top medical professionals researched and developed a formulation that became NGS’s Healthy Height® protein shake, delivering a holistic solution to nourish children primarily in the 3 to 9-years age group. The company recently entered in the Asia-Pacific market, bolstered by a AUS$7M IPO on the Australian Stock Exchange in October 2020, extending its reach beyond the U.S., India and Israel.

(ngsolutions.co), reflects on the ability of nutrition to significantly support children’s health, her own journey to NGS and the opportunities ahead on a global scale.

In this podcast, Fendell and Informa’s Heather Granato discuss:

  • How reliance on clinical substantiation lays the groundwork for success, and informs every aspect of NGS’s business strategy.
  • Non-negotiables for NGS when it comes to formulation and sourcing ingredients, from nutritional profile to quality and palatability.
  • Lessons learned from the initial launch that informed the Asia-Pacific extension, market response and what lies ahead.
