To investigate the health benefits of this prune juice concentrate, the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Guangdong University of Technology conducted a pilot clinical trial, in partnership with Symrise, with 38 volunteers with functional constipation. After 2 weeks' consumption of the product, a significant improvement in constipation-related quality of life was observed, with a 68% drop in the rate of discomfort. The constipation severity score was reduced by 80%, and stool hardness was reduced by 83%.
