Softgels are a popular product format that offer several benefits to consumers. They are an ideal option for people seeking a convenient, easy-to-swallow, and effective way to consume over the counter drugs, vitamins, and dietary supplements.
For formulators, soft capsules offer several opportunities for product differentiation through excellent versatility in shape, size, color and release functionality. Softgels help meet consumer preferences for products with fewer ingredients and provide an option to enhance the bioavailability of ingredients.
Today's consumer preferences are constantly evolving as they look for products that meet their individual goals, including health benefits, clean label preferences and consistent quality. Consumers increasingly turn towards plant-based options and seek “free-from” claims. However, they expect that quality and consumption experience is not compromised even if they switch from a gelatin source to plant-based option.
Addressing these important consumer goals can present a challenge for softgel formulators and manufacturers and may require the use of different softgel shell-forming technologies.
With its vegan softgel technology platform comprising of SeaGel® technology and the recently launched VERDIGEL™ SC, IFF provides softgel makers with a range of tools to unlock new possibilities.
In this webinar, you will learn about the various vegan softgel technologies that are available on the market and how IFF's SeaGel® and VERDIGEL™ SC can help overcome challenges in vegan softgel production and give your softgels an edge in the market.
